Cross-appointed Faculty & Librarians: A Panel Discussion on Institutional Inequality at the University of Toronto

Cross-appointed faculty and librarians are committed to innovative interdepartmental and transdisciplinary teaching and research at the University of Toronto. But uni-departmental administrative traditions often fail to gauge adequately and equitably the annual teaching, research and service contributions of cross-appointed colleagues. UTFA invites cross-appointed faculty and librarians to join us in an open and exploratory discussion of recurring administrative problems with joint appointments at the University of Toronto.

Panelists will include:

  • Ken MacDonald, Associate Professor, Geography & Planning, and Vice-President, Salary, Benefits, Pensions and Workload, UTFA
  • Azita Taleghani, Associate Professor, Language Studies & Near and Middle Eastern Civilizations, and Member-at-Large, UTFA
  • Laura Bisaillon, Assistant Professor, Health Studies
  • Mohamad Tavakoli, Professor, History, Historical Studies & Near and Middle Eastern Civilizations, and Chair, Membership Committee, UTFA

Please RSVP by email to faculty@utfa.org.
