Benefits available to Retired U of T Faculty and Librarians

The Retired Members Committee encourages all UTFA retirees, and those planning for retirement, to review relevant statements and negotiated benefits. 

Please review the benefits made available to University of Toronto Retired Faculty and Librarians:

  1. The University of Toronto’s AAPM (Academic Administrative Procedures Manual) confirms that retired faculty who are teaching on a stipend are entitled to receive (at a minimum) the UTFA negotiated overload stipend. As of July 1, 2019, the overload stipend was set at $17,895.00 per course. More detailed information can be found here.
  2. The University of Toronto’s Statement of Commitment to Retired Faculty and Librarians, confirms the commitments made to retired Faculty and Librarians. Please review details here.
