University ofToronto, Queen’s University and University of Guelph have teamed up on a groundbreaking initiative to merge their existing pension plans into a multi-employer jointly sponsored defined benefit pension plan for the Ontario university sector. Faculty associations, unionized labour, other employee groups and university administrations are all working together to develop and implement the new plan. Learn from the leaders of this initiative why each participant wants this innovative solution, some of the challenges they are facing and next steps in the implementation process.
